Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches and Mesa Verde National Parks When we first got to Zion we drove through a tunnel and the whole scenery changed. It was awesome! The first thing we did was go mountain biking and we took a shuttle to the top of Pa’rus trail. We saw all sorts of cool things when we Mountain biked down and it was really fun. After that we hiked up Angel's Landing and August was really close to falling off. on the way up we had to walk up this bridge and there's a chain that you can hold on to that helps you get up the mountain and when we got to the top we saw a mountain goat that made a really annoying sound the whole time we were up there it kind of sounded like, Baaaaaaaaaaaa burp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. But we still had a great time! When we got to Bryce Canyon we went on the southern scenic drive and it was beautiful. We went horseback riding and Zachary fell off his horse. It was a long, brutal ride for Zachary. Then we hiked back to the car and left for Arches. When we arrived at arches we immediately walked to the landscape arch and it was amazing to see because it was so long. Then we walked to the tallest arch in arches national at a wapping 144 feet then we left. When we got to Mesa Verde we bought tickets for the tour of cliff dwelling. It was amazing, the inside of those ancient homes was stunning. Then we went on the Petroglyph Point trail. The Petroglyphs were basically little cravings of people. There were supposed to be little stories but from our understanding it was a bunch of scribbles. When we got to Glacier we got tickets to go to the glacier museum. Did you know they had 600,000 cool artifacts but after 10 minutes the museum only had 599,999. August was jumping around and hit a vase that was 10,000 Dollars$$$$$$$$ and it was made by native americans that lived in glacier. Then we had to call August Mom and asked if we could have 10,000$$. Then we want on a tour led by a park ranger and got see so many cool animals. Did you know that Glacier has the 2 highest Grizzly bear population in the world. We saw 2 grizzly bears and a Mt. goat. IT was Awesome.
When we were leaving Olympic we were bummed about the 4 hr drive, during the drive we had a giant food fight and Zachary got pelted with chips. When we got to North cascades we signed up for backpacking on Copper Ridge we hiked all the way to cooper lake. We went fishing for dinner August got a Rainbow trout, Jonah got a big salmon and Zachary got coastal cutter trout.
Mt.Rainier took us 4 HOURS TO CLIMB UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At the top we had fun pushing Jonah down the Mountain then August and Zachary slid down the mountain to save Jonah when Zachary and August caught Jonah. August Jonah and Zachary had hot coco with fish that we caught at North Cascades. It was so fun. After we left Seattle we were all bummed About the 2 hour drive to Olympic, wen we got to we signed up for back packing. It was really fun except for when a Rock fell on Augusts arm. when we got to the top of the mount Olympus we drank a bunch of hot chocolate. Then we set up our tents and got ready for bed. in the morning we got ready to snowboard down Mount Olympus. we snowboarded almost to the bottom of the mountain and then hit some ice and Zachary did a front flip and did NOT LAND IT.
The Seattle aquarium is very cool and has lots of fish to look at.And there was a big Shark. The shark bit Augusts finger off. The dolphins jumped super high and dives in to the pool. Then we went to see the Kraken play. The game was cool, they lost 6-1 but still it was fun. We were right in front of the glass. I got a puck so did August and Zach, we all got jerseys of our favorite players August was Ryan Donto, Jonah was Brandon Hoblty, Zach was TJ Oseie. Then we went to pike place market did you know that it was it's a tradition that fishermen throw the fish purchased by customers prior to wrapping it. The Greatest view in Seattle It's 604 feet tall. You can have dinner up there but it's too much money,Did you Know that they serve crabs. There was a ton of stuff to do. It was so much fun. |
