On day two we drove to the Redwoods. The Redwoods was discovered by Hale D. Thar. Redwoods became a National Park on October 2, 1968. Gandhi was also born on October 2.
On a tour we learned that the Redwood trees can grow up to 300 ft! and the Redwoods could be the oldest tree on Earth today.
We went horseback riding and I was terrified. Mira rode the horse much better than me. We also went hiking in Tall Tree Grove, Fern Canyon and on the Coastal T, which was my favorite. The water and the trees were beautiful.
Hiking we saw frogs and a deer. I wish we saw a snake. It’s time for fact smack… Did you know that the Redwoods covers a total area of 131,983 acres and that the Redwoods can make rain from fog? At the end of the day we set up camp at Mill creek.
