I’m Lucy, a fourth grade student and I am writing the blog for today. When we arrived in L.A. and it was BURNING out,Henry was a bit warm but didn't complain that much and since Ora was from L.A. she was used to it.
It was 6:30 when we went on our first little adventure! We went to Rosie's dog beach and there was the cutest dog I had ever seen! They were small and fluffy and black and his name was black bean.
When we were done, We had worked up an appetite so we went to this great restaurant. I ordered the blueberry pancakes and they were delicious.
When we finished our breakfast, We went to theLA brea tar pits and learned some amazing facts like tar pits can preserve animal bones for up to 100,000 years!
When we were done we went to a battle ship ground! Henry seemed into it, Ora didn't get why Henry liked it so much, but didn't ask any questions. I was burning in the sun though, and all I could think about was the water right under the boat.
After that we went to the last bookstore and it was magnificent! There were full on tunnels made of BOOKS! After we explored for a bit we picked out a good book but before we could get into our books Ora reminded us we could read at any time but we couldn't always go to one of the best restaurants we would ever eat at,Gelinas!
Afterward,we went to Santa Monica beach and read our books and splash around in the fresh cool water.
When the day started to come to an end we decided to have dinner at Fristo misto and it was spectacular but to be honest I wasn't expecting any less considering all the other restaurants we went to.
We werent ready to leave the beach yet though so we spent a bit more time there. It was one of the best beaches I have ever been to! The water was just right and the sand was nice and warm but not to hot
On our way back to the hotel we got to explore the city
and I found an old fashioned camera and they let me take some pictures with it even though I didn't want to buy it! Here are some pictures
aren't these amazing? Some of them were not taken by me and were hanging up on the wall of the shop but they let me have a few.
There was a pool at the hotel and Ora and Henry asked if I wanted to go swimming with them but I was waaay too tired! So I went to bed and thought about the wonderful day I had as I drifted off to sleep.
